Web Spotlight: GLBT Knit

It's official, there is something for everyone on the World Wide Web. The GLBT Knitters list is an e-mail discussion list for gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, and g/l/b/t friendly people who like to hand or machine knit and who are looking for a forum where they can discuss knitting, g/l/b/t issues and relationships.

Hey, GAAMC Members and Friends,

GGAMC introduces SHARE YOUR TALENT nights!
As part of our continuing programs, we will periodically feature a night where GAAMC members can share their hobbies or lean new ones.
We are kicking this off the last Monday in February (Feb. 22) with

SHARE YOUR TALENT: NEEDLEWORK

For those interested in learning a needlework skill, in this case knitting, one of our members will be teaching the first steps in learning to knit a scarf. A list of materials to bring will be sent out in another email.

In addition, we ask any members who already do some needlework (quilting/sewing/embroidery/cross stich/tatting—does anyone still tat????)to volunteer to bring in a sample of that work on this evening for a display of work our members have done. Perhaps you might inspire others to take up that hobby!

You can email Anthony Giordano directly with questions (giordanoanthony@hotmail.com) or to volunteer to bring in some samples of your work.

If you have an idea for which talent we should feature in our next SHARE YOUR TALENT night, email! We’d love to hear from you.

Remember SHARE YOUR TALENT: NEEDLWORK will be on Feb. 22! Come chat, knit, and share…..
