President Obama Say Federal Gov't Has No Business Regulating Marriage

Barack Obama in an interview with Brian Williams of MSNBC said that "gays have a friend in the White House" and that the "federal government shouldn't have a role in regulating marriage"

President Obama should heed his own words. If he believes the federal government should butt out, demand a full repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act now which bans any federal recognition of marriage, no words on the books are better than those.

Done. Everyone should write a quick note regarding this and list other rights that we don't have being gay.

By having a friend in the White House, he means Michelle.

If the federal government's role isn't determining the meaning of marriage, why is it limited to exclude gays and lesbians? That constitutes a "determined meaning."
