Tell Congress to Support the Respect for Marriage Act

It’s official — the Respect for Marriage Act has been introduced and now it’s time to repeal the discriminatory “Defense of Marriage Act.”

Go to www.RepealDOMAnow.org and tell your member of Congress to join on as a co-sponsor.

Yes, it is definitely time to repeal DOMA, though I have to confess I have not heard of the RFMA. Can you tell me who introduced it? Or has it been introduced yet?

Already done. Even spoke to one of my Senators (And a former Senator who is running for Governor) this past Saturday evening at a Marriage Equality meetup.

That's what I absolutely love about RI. The politicians are so accessible. My friend has only lived in the state for six years and I brought him along with my SO. He was shocked about that little fact I mentioned. He had a 20 minute conversation with Linc Chafee.

Rep Jerrold Nadler of NY introduced it yesterday and it has 91 co-sponsors as of right now I believe.
