Word of the Gay: "Heterosocial"

"Heterosocial" is of or relating to relationships of the opposite sex that take on a non-sexual nature.

Could apply to relationships with heterosexual members of the same sex that are non-sexual in nature.

I like this. My wife and I both have really strong friendships with men, and we think we're better for it. As a bi woman, I suppose I'd be very lonely if I lived by any "can't make friends with someone of this gender" rules anyway. And I agree, it seems like it would apply to straight people, too.

@ Bridgeout: That's awesome! I've frequently said that my wife and her best (bi male) friend almost have a bromance, except she's female.
